The Winter, 2014 issue of Communio , on the theme of “ Ecclesiam Unam ,” is the fourth and last in our series devoted to a reflection on the mystery of the Church as one, holy, catholic, and apostolic.

Apologetics is the Church’s perennial task of making evident the reasonableness of the faith. This task belongs to the very identity of the Church not only because of her mission to proclaim the Good News to the ends of the earth—a mission that includes presenting reasons for the faith—but, even more fundamentally, because of the obligation simply to make manifest the truth of faith and thereby show forth the glory of God.

The Winter, 2013 issue of Communio is dedicated to the theme of “ Ecclesiam Sanctam .” It is the third in our series dedicated to a reflection on the mystery of the Church as one, holy, catholic and apostolic.

This special Summer–Fall 2013 double issue of Communio takes up various aspects of the question of religious liberty.
